Newsroom AI Catalyst
The Newsroom AI Catalyst is an accelerator programme open to 152 newsrooms across Europe, Asia Pacific, Latin America, South Asia and Australia/New Zealand. It combines expert guidance with hands-on experience, equipping newsroom stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to drive strategic AI initiatives.
From September 2024 on, I've worked with nearly 50 cross-functional teams (editorial, product, marketing, tech, social media, etc.) from news companies of all sizes in Europe, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region, as a facilitator for this program of WAN-IFRA, the World Association of News Publishers in partnership with OpenAI.
As a coach, I collaborated closely with fifteen of these teams throughout the complex process of developing their prototypes. The teams came from France, Hong Kong, Puerto Rico, India, Germany, Guatemala, Pakistan, Honduras, Switzerland, the Philippines, and Mexico.
Google DeepMind SynthID
From New York to Singapore, via London and São Paulo, fact-checkers and journalists tested SynthID and provided valuable feedback to the DeepMind team, through workshops designed and run by Fathm. They also shared insights and reflected on new challenges in the field of provenance (trustworthiness, intellectual property, accountability...) with high-level experts during roundtable discussions and fireside chats.
